Tango Mar Vista introduces: Mary Fu

Mary’s affair with the Argentine tango began when she was a college student studying and traveling in South America. Since then, she has persistently studied the dance with both body and mind, taking advantage of 9 years of classical piano training and an intimate awareness of her body, developed through an extensive background in martial arts, ballet, and other sports. Mary has studied with master dancers and teachers Gustavo Naveira & Giselle Anne, Julio Balmaceda & Corina de la Rosa, and Graciela Gonzalez in Buenos Aires and the United States. She continues to exercise and push the boundaries of their teachings in technique, connection, musicality, and the inherent structure of the dance through her partnership with Fardad Michael Serry. They can be found in Los Angeles or Santa Barbara, interpreting the music with their students by day and on the milonga floor by night.
