We envision Tango cropping up in public and private spaces in our neighborhood and beyond – ballrooms and courtyards, restaurants and living rooms – revitalizing all those who come in contact with it.

We envision bold local Tango conjuntos and orquestas – working out of everything from garages to conservatories – creating the music of our generation that brings people together in celebration of life, health, and shared beauty.

Through our experience in this dance, we know Tango to be a metaphor for human relations broadly. We work to nurture communities that reflect the values that the Tango embodies: emotional depth, precision, gentleness, open-mindedness, humility, and hard work.

To serve as an inspiration, we practice every day to refine technique and push the boundaries of what’s possible when two human beings connect. We strive for authentic personal expression and artistic virtuosity in partnership. We aim for mental balance and a silent, trained mind.

We train ourselves as teachers indefatigably and exchange professional experiences to continually improve our individual approaches. We work hard to create educational environments that are supportive, intelligent, and inspiring, addressing with care both what to teach and how to teach it. We see Tango as a potential vehicle for the individual’s spiritual growth and seek out ways to support this.
